In fact, our team is fueled by challenge: the challenge to create something that will have true financial impact for our partners; the challenge to find and achieve the opportunities that exist in internet marketing; and the challenge to always be learning better ways to serve our partners.
We believe that growth only occurs when the difficult questions are asked and answered. After all, you can’t keep doing the same things and expect different results, right? So, we throw out the status quo on a daily basis to replace it with something that has purpose and impact.
If you’ve ever visited Springboard, you probably saw that our space is jam-packed with Nerf guns, twenty-somethings and probably a lot of beer. It’s also common to hear music playing accompanied by a lot of bad singing.
We recognize that providing impactful web design for our partners though, means we have to foster an environment where focus and productivity can occur.
Therefore, we have a few unofficial policies we abide by to ensure that we don’t get off track. We follow the general rule that if someone has their headphones in, they are not to be disturbed, unless it’s an emergency of course. In the same regard, we’ve designated hump day as “No Meeting Wednesday,” so the team can focus on our priorities and meet deadlines in a timely fashion.
It’s not all work and no play at Springboard. Our team loves to laugh and have fun.
Believe it or not, each desk is equipped with a Nerf gun and an ample supply of darts. So, when we need to relieve some stress or just have a little fun, we freely use them on each other. Each team member is well aware of the risks and possible ambushes that come at the most unexpected moments. (Just ask our fearless leader how many surprise attacks he has incurred while sitting quietly at his desk.)
Fear not, we’ve never unleashed on a Partner though. Nerf wars stay in the family.
We consider one another as family here at Springboard, and we treat each other that way too. It’s very important that we feel comfortable enough to participate in discussions and really have a voice. Yet, we understand that it’s the end result that matters and our discussions are more than just making ourselves heard.
Each week our team has family lunch, away from our computers and keyboards, so we can all catch up on non-work related news and events in each other’s lives. We have been honored to eat at some of Indianapolis’s best restaurants. It shouldn’t surprise you that we Google search for our food and determine what sounds good by browsing through different websites. Whether it’s ethnic cuisine to authentic American fare, we all enjoy what Indianapolis has to offer.
